Just some photos of friends and various people, who regularly contribute to the site and other friends, present and past…

Richard Leacock, known to his friends as
Ricky – a pioneer of Cinema Verite, has died at 89.
Ricky was my professor, mentor, thesis supervisor and friend at the MIT Film/Video Section, of which he was the long-time head. Unassuming, but incredibly accomplished, superbly professional and creative, but very approachable. An all-around great guy.
We will miss you, Ricky…
This is obviously a work in progress and I hope to be able to expand this section, as people send me their photos.
Pretty much anything is welcome, but particularly photos of you and of your friends engaged in some Nordic walking-related activities. Also, please send a blurb, or some description of the photos.
If you post comments, it is always nice to be able to “put a face to the name”.

This is our frequent contributor from Wisconsin Ed Urbanski and his wife Barbara at the recent Susan Komen Race For The Cure. Despite placing first in her age category in the 2009 Birkie, Barbara has tragically succumbed to cancer in the fall of 2010. You will be missed...

This photo was taken during Ed Urbanski's visit to Madison, Wisconsin, where Nordic walking, or Exerstriding pioneer Tom Rutlin resides. Tom Rutlin is the one in white pants and as expected both are sporting strapless Exerstrider poles.
