CT 4. Composite 30% carbon. Good, functional composite poles with the shock absorbing characteristics of composite. Comes with a PCU cork-filled handle and the Swix Pro Fit Nordic Walking strap. Highly recommended for all - from beginners, to experienced Nordic walkers.
The standard model is supplied with the PCU cork-filled PC grip and ProFit strap. The Swix Twist&Go tip allows you to quickly change from a hard metal tip for soft surfaces to a gripping rubber tip for walking on hard surfaces. Basically an enhancement of the NW 033- CT4, with the addition of the new tip system and grip.
Very durable, not quite as light as the higher-in-carbon CT2 and CT3 models, but swings very well, indeed. A 120 cm model weighs 194 grams.
Pick a length, which will make your forearm roughly horizontal with the ground. As an example, a 6 foot person would use a 125 cm pole. Use a tape measure, from the floor, to the top of your cupped hand, while maintaining the forearm horizontal. This is your pole length. If you do not have a metric measuring tape, multiply the inches by 2.54, to get the correct length in centimeters (cm).
Order spare Swix rubber tips. They work great with all of our poles, those with the Twist&Go tips and those without! A drop of glue helps secure the tips on the Twist&Go and if you use just a little, the rubber tips are easy to remove.
Available sizes:125cm (5'11"-6'3")
The generally accepted formula for pole length is: is 0.68 x height in centimeters. Therefore, as an example: 0.68 x 162 (height in cm) works out to 110 cm.
