Which Nordic Walking Poles are Best for Me?

I have not experienced that problem, but in general a slightly longer pole will provide a harder workout. Personally I haven't felt the need to go that route, but simply push harder, if I want, or try to climb some hills.
The main thing, though is finding a pole length, which works better for you. I wouldn't recommend this to beginners, who probably should stick to the "recommended" pole lengths, but an experienced Nordic walker such as yourself can and should experiment a bit.

Actually, I do agree with you to a certain degree now. As I said before, longer poles do give a harder workout and for people, who are in good shape and who want to get some extra upper body exercise, slightly longer (up to 3 inches) poles might be a good idea.
Not necessarily to use on a daily basis, but rather for occasional (one/two time-per week "power workout")
